(Moulton, AL), (January 29, 2024) – Open a book, open a world! The Lawrence County Public Library celebrates 50 years at its current location in February, and we're inviting the entire community to celebrate this landmark anniversary. Join us for the anniversary celebration on Tuesday, February 13th, at 2:00 p.m.
For five decades, the Library has been more than just a repository of books. It's been a vital community hub, igniting imaginations, fueling curiosity, and connecting residents of all ages through the magic of reading and learning. From story times for the tiniest readers to book clubs for lifelong learners, the Library has fostered a love of literature and provided access to vital resources for generations.
"We're incredibly proud of the Library's rich history and impact on our community," says Rex Bain, Executive Director of the Lawrence County Public Library. "For 50 years, we've been a space for exploration, education, and connection, and we're thrilled to celebrate this milestone with our patrons, friends, and neighbors."
We're grateful for the unwavering support of our community, our dedicated staff and volunteers, and the countless lives touched by the Library over the past half-century. Here's to 50 years of stories, learning, and growth, and to many more chapters to come!
